## What we're asked most often
      Can a wrought-iron console take any tabletop?
The base is sized for the weight of the chosen top: a marble or stone top (25 to 55 kg/m² depending on thickness) needs different fixing points and reinforcement than a solid oak top, which is markedly lighter. That's why the top is chosen before the base is forged, not after.
     Can a wrought-iron console fit in a narrow hallway?
Yes, provided you choose a suitable depth — usually 20 to 30 cm for an entryway console, versus 30 to 40 cm for a living-room console. See our dedicated page on custom dimensions.
     How long does it take to make a custom console?
It depends on the chosen top and the workshop's current schedule — confirmed at quote stage, never before your exact dimensions and top choice are known.
